Bahá’ís hail from all walks of life. Young and old, men and women alike, they live alongside others in every land and belong to every nation. They share a common goal of serving humanity and refining their inner-lives in accordance with the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh. The community to which they belong is one of learning and action. It is a community that strives to cultivate hope for the future of humanity, to foster purposeful effort, and to celebrate the endeavors of all those in the world who work to promote unity and alleviate human suffering.

Bahá’ís of Rockville practice Sacred Stewardship for Sustainable Environment, Climate Change Resilience, and Nature Conservation.  This includes nine year plan actions for Faith based volunteer community service, education and advocacy for Care for God’s Creation and Sacred Stewardship.  Their current priority areas are of Faith based community service and engagement with their local neighborhoods and municipalities of Montgomery County and the State. 

Their Faith Based Guidance for Care of God’s Creation includes Green Living for Individuals, Families and Communities, and Green Team Resource Documents for Local Spiritual Assemblies, Communities, and Clusters.  Bahá’ís of Rockville maintain a collection of Baha’i’ Faith writings and teachings for children/youth/elevated adult classes, formal community townhalls, devotionals, retreats, conferences.
