Am Kolel strives to meet unmet needs in the Jewish community and respond to social and environmental issues with a progressive voice. We operate Sanctuary Retreat Center for those that seek spiritual renewal, communion with nature, learning and fellowship. We are members of the Montgomery Countryside Alliance and IPC, and we support other environmental organizations. We have organized symposia, youth programs and other events devoted to responsible stewardship of the earth. In 2015 Am Kolel was among the first cohort of faith communities to plant over 50 trees on their property as part of Trees for Sacred Places!
